Furniture shopping in Laconia, NH must include a visit to our large and beautifully restored Victorian home. We’ve thoroughly converted it into one of the most interesting furniture showrooms you’ll find anywhere! Browsing through our Laconia store is unlike doing so in a regular furniture store. It is more like walking through a gorgeously furnished old house. The rooms just seem to keep going as you travel through each floor of the building. Every room contains elegantly designed furniture sets. You’ll see complete bedrooms, fully furnished living areas, and even top quality odds-and-ends gracing the hallways and corners of our old Victorian.

Located on busy Union Avenue, this was our first expansion store after successfully doing business in Plymouth since 1965. We realized that the Lakes Region needed a great furniture store, not only for the year-round residents, but also for many vacation homeowners who come here to spend their summers. Laconia is the largest city north of Concord, and is situated between Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam. It’s a convenient location for furniture shoppers throughout the entire Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Some people may have concerns about parking since we are situated adjacent to a new car dealer, and there are just a few spots out front. However, we have ample parking for customers in the rear of our building. So, if the front looks full, just pull into our driveway and park out back. We want your Harris Family Furniture experience to be pleasant, and free parking is always available at all of our stores.

Our two other stores are a bit larger, including our Chichester location which also has a state of the art warehouse where we keep an inventory of the most popular brands and styles. Harris Family Furniture’s showroom in Plymouth, NH holds a very special place in our hearts. The family’s furniture industry roots actually date well before the opening of our Plymouth location in 1965. Bill Harris’s grandfather spent many years on the road, often travelling by rail, selling furniture from northern New England to Chicago. His legacy lives on with three generations of Harrises working in the family business today.

Our Plymouth store is actually an old farm house restored and converted into a modern furniture showroom. As we celebrated our 50 Year Anniversary in 2015, we looked back fondly to our humble beginnings. We owe a debt of gratitude to all of our customers for their loyal business, as well as their encouragement to grow and expand. Our business foundation in the rural college town of Plymouth gave us the experience to move south into the more densely populated – yet more competitive – markets of Laconia and Concord (Chichester).

We originally chose Plymouth because it was home for some of our family. We also saw the potential for steady economic growth in this beautiful town nestled in the foothills of the magnificent White Mountains. People from the far northern part of the state all the way to the Lakes Region have made Harris Family Furniture in Plymouth their furniture store of choice. We carry a wide selection of both traditional and contemporary styles to suit a range of tastes. We also offer free delivery to anywhere in New Hampshire.
